The Reverend Daryle Bush
Senior Pastor | (843) 249-2312 | oceandrive@odpc.org
On July 29, 2010, the Pastor Nominating Committee received a letter from Pastor Bush, stating that he had read our Church Information Form and was most impressed by our views as an evangelical church. He received his Bachelor Degree from Baylor University, Waco, TX, and his M. Div. degree from Princeton Theological Seminary. Prior to coming to North Myrtle Beach, he served churches in England; Greenville, SC; Clearwater, FL; and Salinas, California.
After the Pastor Nominating Committee worked their way through 88 Pastor Information Forms, the vote was unanimous to call Pastor Daryle Bush in 2011. Since then, ODPC has certainly grown and seen many changes along the way. Under Pastor Bush’s leadership, ODPC has seen renovations and additions to her campus, was officially recognized as a 501(c) 3 organization by the United States Office of the Internal Revenue Service, and after a historic vote from the congregation ( an overwhelming 98%) to be dismissed from the PCUSA and join the Evangelical Covenant Order of Presbyterians (“ECO”) we officially entered membership with ECO’s Presbytery of the South in March of 2016! In May of 2022, ODPC officially celebrated her 75th Anniversary of faithful service to her Lord and Savior.
Today, with over 50 in-house, local, and global missions supported, a thriving congregation of 800 members, an excellent Preschool enrolling 52 students a year, and wonderful (and growing!) Youth and Children’s Ministries – ODPC has MUCH to be grateful to God for!
We love Pastor Bush and his family very much, and are forever grateful for their dedicated service to God and our ODPC family, and we look forward to all that The Lord has in store for the future!
May ODPC always glorify HIM and make HIM known!
