ODPC Groups

ODPC hosts many groups that help connect our members and friends together in Christ centered community and growth. Through outings, events, outreaches, and shared missions, these groups carry the light and love of God into our local community and beyond. If you would like to learn more about groups call our office at (843) 249-2312 M-Th 9am-5pm, and
Fridays 9am-12. 
ODPC Connections Groups | 
ODPC Connections’ Groups are designed to create connections within the congregation and ODPC community through fellowship and shared interest. Membership and group connections are ongoing, but we currently provide 4 opportunities to connect and enjoy fellowship together. All groups are open to all adult ODPC Members and visitors.  

  • Fun & Fellowship – This group attends various community events, and roams the area from Brookgreen Gardens and the Alabama Theater, to the Planetarium in Sunset Beach. This group meets monthly.
  • Forks & Fellowship – Connect with others and make new friends through dinner outings to local restaurants.  Enjoy a time of fellowship over a good meal and build lasting relationships. Meets the 1st Monday of the month. Check out our next dinner on the ODPC Event page!
  • Reading Group – This group meets the 1st Tuesday of the month at 10 am in the Welcome Center.
  • Wit and Wisdom – Meets the 1st Tuesday of each Month from 1-4 pm in Room E-211

ODPC Prayer Shawl Ministry | Meets Thursdays 10am-12noon 
The ODPC Prayer Shawl Ministry invites anyone interested in helping to join whether they are here on vacation or on a regular basis. Materials are provided. Finished items go to those in need of comfort due to illness, grief, surgery, caregiver, personal/family issues, etc. and include: members of ODPC, family members, friends, neighbors, assisted care facilities, hospice care, mobile meals, baptisms (baby blankets,) Teen Angel (hats and scarves,) Schools (hats and scarves,) and Hope’s Kitchen (hats.) This group meets every Thursday 10 to Noon in Room 134.

Alzheimer’s Support Group | Meets the 3rd Thursday each month

GriefShare at ODPC | Hosts seminars throughout the year
The GriefShare Ministry hosted by Ocean Drive Presbyterian Church (ODPC) is designed to provide a grief recovery support group for those who have experienced the death of a loved one. It is recognized by local community professionals as a ministry that is consistent and established; therefore it is a ministry to which individuals can be referred for grief support year round.  To find out upcoming meeting times, please call the church office at 843-249-2312 or visit our events page HERE. To learn more about GriefShare, visit their official website at www.griefshare.org

Desert Stream Ministries | Abortion Recovery Support Group
Abortion is a spiritual wound that needs a spiritual process to heal. If you regret your decision to terminate your pregnancy, and are tired of living with guilt and shame, please know there is a path to freedom. It’s not easy and it takes great courage. But it is so worth it. We’d love to have you join us for healing and recovery in our post abortion study group!
