The "Shak" Youth Center Renovation
ODPC is focusing on reaching future generations for Christ by investing in a full renovation of our beloved "Shak." Plans include: all new bathrooms, floors, roof, refurbished balcony/loft, adding a kitchenette area, new sound booth, new wiring, plumbing, windows and more! The "Shak," built in 1951 as the original Sanctuary for ODPC, is the current home to our ACCESS Youth program and ministers to more than 50plus 6th-12th grade students on a weekly basis. ACCESS is seeing rapid growth, and ODPC wants our facility to be the best it can be to serve students for Christ. And, it will also be a nice larger multi-purpose space available for the church for potential use as needed. With this goal in mind, on October 20th, 2024, we launched the "Focus on the Future" Shak Renovation Fund Drive to raise the needed funds to finish this project.
This renovation will update the current building while keeping the beauty and historical character of its original “spirit”. Plans include adding two all new bathrooms, new flooring throughout, all new balcony and kitchenette areas, a new centrically located sound booth area, PLUS new wiring, plumbing, windows and furnishings, and of course a clean, fresh coat of paint everywhere!
The goal is to raise a total of $800,000. Progress has already been made and we've already raised $150,000! This is amazing! Now YOU can help us go all the way, by partnering with us financially to see this very important project completed in full. God is on the move at ODPC, and we are seeing great things happening in our Access Youth program! We believe that by investing in them and our church through this building project, we are establishing the foundation needed for their future Christian growth and development.

Where We're Headed NEXT:
From faithfully serving our church as greeters and helping with Vacation Bible School to working with our local FCA Chapter, our ACCESS youth are consistently involved in life at ODPC as well as the local community. We see them growing up with God and God in them, reaching their full potential, and fulfilling the plans God has for them! We believe that by investing in them through this building project, we are providing the tools needed to help them connect to their destiny, finding their way through Him, with Him and in Him!
