Becoming a member of the Church is an important and essential step for every Christian. Jesus Christ created the Church to be His representatives, ambassadors and His body in today’s world – to be His hands, feet and heart. We join together as church members in a local church in worship and prayer, in growing spiritually, in discipleship, fellowship, evangelism, and reaching out in service to one another and the world. As member of a local church community we are part of something far greater than ourselves. We bind ourselves together to accomplish things of eternal value – things that we cannot accomplish on our own – as we rely on God’s immeasurable grace.

We want you to find a warm, family-like community where we’re learning every day how to live out our mission: to glorify God and make Him known. Since 1947, we’ve grown into a vibrant congregation of 800+ here in North Myrtle Beach, with affiliate members and friends joining us online from around the world each week. We love seeing people connect through Bible studies, small groups, youth programs, and hands-on service like Hope’s Kitchen—whether in our 9:15am contemporary service, 11am traditional one, or online, you’ll find uplifting worship and genuine friendships that draw you closer to Christ. As part of ECO: A Covenant Order of Evangelical Presbyterians, we hold fast to biblical truth while creating a welcoming home for individuals and families to belong and thrive. Our Senior Pastor sums it up best every Sunday: “Here at Ocean Drive we believe the Bible is true. That it is the only infallible way of life and practice for us, so we want to know what it says. And let it change our minds and our hearts to the glory of God.” If you’d like to experience that life-changing truth, come join us in person—we can’t wait to welcome you!

Our pastoral and membership staff will walk you through the “Big Picture” of ODPC in our welcoming New Members class. We’ll take a relaxed moment to get to know each other, then cover our core beliefs, church history, staff, ministry programs, and ways you can serve—plus plenty of time for any questions you have. Each person receives a Membership Information packet with a New Members Form and details on everything we discuss. This class is really the first real step toward joining our church family. It’s an easy, meaningful way to say, “I’m ready to be part of what God is doing here.” We’d love to see you there!
